South Africa uses a 'first come, first serve' system at intersections. If two vehicles arrive at the same time, the one to the right has right of way. This is different from some countries where the vehicle on the left might go first. At a four-way stop, the vehicle that arrives first proceeds first. If vehicles arrive simultaneously, the vehicle on the right-hand side has the right of way.
